Topology Statement:
Topology is the study of spatial relationships of planes within geometric shapes. Without cutting the surface of the shape or adding any holes there is continual change without the infliction of violence. My investigation into the subject stems from my curiosities in how we surrender to the pressures and pleasures of everyday life. We succumb by evolving, twisting, and reshaping
Wall Object Statement:
Trees don’t heal, they seal. An injury caused by human or natural forces precipitates a chemical reaction. The tree compartmentalizes the area of trauma by isolating it from the healthy parts of the tree. This process is the tree's primary mechanism in responding to distress but can ultimately lead to its demise. Observing these systems has altered my perceptions of the world
